Impact of Unified CommunicationsIf you look at the definition of Unified Communications on Wikipedia, you find this: “the integration of real-time communication services such as instant messaging (chat), telephony (including IP telephony), video conferencing, data sharing (including web-connected electronic whiteboards), call control and speech recognition with non-real-time communication services such as unified messaging (integrated voicemail, e-mail, SMS and fax)”. The realm of Unified Communications has evolved from simple phone calls over IP, and are now enabling colleagues, clients and suppliers to work together in real-time, interact efficiently and effectively with each other. The aim is to increase productivity, however, what is the actual impact?

Verba at Cisco Live 2014

Recently Cisco Live 2014 took place in San Francisco, California with 25,000 Cisco customers, executives, experts, and partners in attendance.  It provided an unparalleled opportunity to share insights on emerging technologies and their potential to transform the way we work, learn, and play and increasing knowledge of Cisco products, solutions and services via in-person events, live webcasts, and on-demand learning opportunities.

This year’s event was particularly special.  Not only was it 25 years since the first Cisco Live event was launched, Team Verba also unveiled our new feature, Verba Speech Analytics alongside our launch partners ISI and Telekenex – an integrated part of Verba Collaboration Recording platform that provides Unified Communications compliance recording and quality management?  So, how was Verba Speech Analytics received?

Telekenex & Verba Speech Analytics – a perfect match

TelekenexLast week at Cisco Live in San Francisco, Verba Technologies, alongside launch partners Telekenex and ISI Telemanagement Solutions announced the new Verba Speech Analytics solution: an integrated part of the Verba Collaboration Recording platform that provides Unified Communications compliance recording and quality management.

Telekenex is a telecom carrier headquartered in San Francisco, California, that provides traditional Telecom Services, Hosted Telecom Services, SIP Trunking, Data Connections and Hosted Security Services.  Telekenex manages over hundred thousand premium  business endpoints.  With a majority of customers in California, their customer base spans the continental US through a nationwide network. Since 2007 they have provided call recording services supplied by Verba.  In 2014,  alongside call recording, Telekenex wanted to start offering a cloud-based speech analytics solution to their customers.

What is Verba Speech Analytics?

Stop the press! We have added something new to the Verba Recording System. Today, we are introducing  Verba Speech Analytics.  This solution extends our Collaboration Recording offering and will enable businesses to refine their searches in Verba in a very special way.

So, what exactly is Verba Speech Analytics? Speech analytics is a process that retrieves information from your recorded calls. From now on you can not only detect silence/cross talk/talkover using Verba, but you can directly search for phrases in the recorded audio and video calls.
