Background

MNC Securities was established in 1989 in Jakarta, Indonesia. Today they employ 300 individuals. The company is a member of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and operates as a broker-dealer, underwriter, and investment manager, providing research services in stock trading and investing activities, as well as periodical information to customers.

The Challenge

Indonesian Central Bank regulations require financial institutions to record all their conversations. At MNC Securities, eighty percent of calls are recorded by traders and twenty percent by dealers. It is essential for traders to record all their interactions over the phone, just in case there is any doubt about what was agreed during the telephone conversation. It is crucial for litigation purposes that the content of any calls can be verified, as and when requested. MNC Securities had previously used another call recording system for ten years. However, their PABX system was outdated and they wished to migrate their existing telephony system to Microsoft Lync (now Skype for Business). The existing system did not possess the capability to record Lync calls.

The Solution
